#1--Why Should We Use Your Junk Removal Service Instead Of The City ?

The City does NOT pick up household appliances such as stoves, refrigerators,  freezers,  air conditioners, dryers, dishwashers, hot water tanks, furnaces, oil tanks, etc. at the curb. These appliances contain recyclable parts that can be reused. Residents must make their own arrangements to have them removed. All refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units and dehumidifiers must have refrigerant removed and must be tagged by a certified technician prior to being brought to the landfill site. Any items that are not tagged will be refused entry into the site. Construction materials such as Plaster, wood (including pressure-treated lumber), drywall, concrete, asphalt or other waste resulting from building alterations, construction, renovation or demolition ARE NOT collected with regular garbage. This material must be brought to an area landfill. Large and bulky items such as sofas, mattresses, and furniture will not be picked up at the curb if the items are left out after the truck leaves your collection location. Tires are not picked up by the City's curbside collection. For free disposal of used tires, visit  www.ontarioTS.ca.

#2--Why Can't We Simply Rent A Dumpster ?

When you choose our junk removal service, we do all the lifting, loading, and clean up for you. We only charge you for the volume of junk that we put in our truck. With a rented dumpster, you have to fill it yourself, and the city may also require that you apply for a special permit to use the dumpster at your location. Most dumpster rental companies will charge you a flat fee for the dumpster even if it is only a quarter, or half full when you are done. You will need a dumpster parking space (usually your driveway), and there is no telling what type of driveway damage can occur from the dumpster weight. Preventing other people from filling up your dumpster can sometimes be difficult.

#3--Do You Provide Estimates By Phone ?

We provide free phone estimate for the household items listed at http://www.junkmaster.ca/volume.html on our website. We also provide phone estimate for construction and renovation debris items listed at http://www.junkmaster.ca/bRates.html on our website. We cannot provide phone estimate for non-standard items that we are not familiar with. However, we will be able to provide phone estimate if the weights and dimensions of non-standard items are provided.

#4--What Type Of Junk Items Do You Remove ?

Most of the items we remove are listed at http://www.junkmaster.ca/remove.html on our website. These items include everyday household items, items left behind by previous tenants, construction and renovation debris, etc.

We do not remove any paint, chemicals, explosive materials, vehicles, old camper, or trailers.

#5--How Much Do You Charge For Your Service ?

We normally charge by the truck volume which the junk item will take up in our dump trailer, or junk truck. For heavy and dense items, we charge by the bedload based on the weight (Please see http://www.junkmaster.ca/bRates.html for details). Our minimum charge for household items removal is $60.00 + applicable disposal fees.

#6--What Do You Do With The Junk That You Remove ?

Some of the material that we remove goes to charitable organizations. Recyclable materials such as plastic, bottles are sent to recycling centers. Unusable and unwanted items are sent to city transfer stations.

#7--Do I Have To Be Present During The Removal ?

It depends on the situation, and the location of the junk items. In most cases, property managers do not neet to be around when the task involves removal of junk which has been left behind from previous tenancy, or outdoors by the curb. In some cases where the junk items are mixed with other "keep items", it might be best for the customer to be present, or clearly mark the "keep items" so that we do not mistakenly remove the wrong items.

#8--How Much Notice Do You Need ?

We can book an appointment within a few days after your phone call. In most cases, we may be available within 48 hours of your initial call.

#9--Can You Work After Business Hours ?

We can work around your schedule, including weekends and all Holidays. Simply call us to figure out how we can best accomondate your needs.

#10--What Type Of Payments Do You Accept ?

Our company can be paid by C.O.D, MasterCard, Visa, or by Direct Deposit into our account. We normally accept full payment at the completion of the job.
